My son scraped his nose badly, it looks horrible. The scrape is peeling the off the old skin and it seems ozzing, I have washed it and cleaned it daily, he wore a bandaid over it for the first two days, today is the third and he wore no bandaid at all today, so it could air. When he took a shower today, it started bleeding a little bit around where the old skin peeled, I put some nerosporine, but not sure if I should cover it. He says that he feels something coming out and he thinks it is blood, but there is no blood, is it pus? Should I be concered and take him to the doctor, or should I let a few more days pass by?

  1. I'd give it another day with Neosporin. If it appears infected, take him to the doctor.

  2. tea tree antiseptic cream works wonders on things like this.

don't cover it let the air get to it as it will help dry the wound site.

if it is infected the tea tree have a natural cleaning effect but if it really bad he may need an antibiotic cream.
