How do I trust people?

I like this guy and my friends all know. If word got out, who cares? Everyone likes someone. That I don't have a problem with someone announcing on the school intercom lol.

Then when it comes to basically details (how much I like him, flirting, he liking me back, are instant messages, etc) for some reason I keep it to myself. I told this girl I've known since 1st grade. I am friends with her, but not best friends. It felt good to talk about FINALLY. Now like usual, I freak out that it's going to get out to everyone. How can I calm myself down?

i keep a lot of stuff to myself too. i tell a lot of things to my mom actually. i have 2 friends that i tell stuff to depending on what it is.. if word gets out then you know who said it.. and if worse comes to worse he doesnt like you.. but thats a 50/50 chance. he may very well like you more than you like him.
