Yesterday was my 14th birthday, and one of my presents was a guitar book for some songs in Guitar Hero 3. I looked at Paint It, Black by the Rolling Stones and it looks pretty easy... but I'm I new guitarist and I don't know how to tune to Fm Tuning... what should the individual strings be tuned at? Also, if anyone wants some tabs, let me know, I'll e-mail then to you. No, my book doesn't have TTFAF.

  1. Well, and Fm chord is F, Ab, and C. I don't like tuning to open chords myself, but basically you just have to try to get each string to the closest note in an Fm chord. It's better to tune down then up.

    From low to high, I'd go- F, Ab, C, F, C, F

But you could try tuning the B string to an Ab instead if you want.

  2. A decent guitar tuner like the Marshal MT-1 will allow you to tune up or down from standard tuning. Alternatively get a capo.
