How do I turn my Loofa Gords into Loofa's? ?

What is the drying process? I know that when its just the loofa, I will have to bleach it bcuz of the mold etc. Do I just stash them in the garage? Leave them in the sun? Take them off the vine now or when the vine dies? HELP.

i just left it on the vine and later transfered them to garage, cutting off an inch or so on each end..when they were thoroughly dry just sort of "scrunched" them to break away the lingering skin.  If you haven't tried them, the young fruit can be cooked and eaten like okra
