How do I turn my fog machine on?

I was going through boxes as I move into my new house and I found a fog machine of my husbands. He's in Iraq, and I'm wondering how it works. It's a Lite F/X Fog F/X. There was liquid in it when I found it. I don't know what goes in it, whether it's just water or a solution of some kind. There's a remote with a red light on it, but that didn't seem to do anything. And there's a timer attachment, and the light goes straight to ready, no warming up, and it does heat up a bit, but there's no fog. I can't find directions. Any help?

one main thing, How long has the fog machine been sitting there?  The best thing to do is to empty what fluid is in the machine.  then pour filtered water and thurn the machine on and let it warm up then run the water completly through it. then finally go to a store such as a party suply place and purchace some water based fluid.

Plug it in then turn on the fog machine.

I used to host a most xlnt karaoke session with a friend and we a beast of a fog machine.

You need to make sure it's at least 3/4 full of red stuff (you know what I mean, that liquid that smells of petrol and looks like it would burn through flesh!)

If there isn't enough in, the safety mechanism will stop it from working.

DOn't overfill it though.

Our new fog machine heated up the red stuff and for some reason didn't work for a while (about an hour), then it started spitting out fog randomly until it sorted itself out.

Try turning it on and keep filling it for an hour or twoi until it starts properly.

If it doesn't work after 2 hours of so, it may be faulty.

PS don't overfill it becuase that's REALLY dangerous.

They get very hot!!!!
