How do I turn off the search?

When I search I want to turn off the box that pops up with past sites visited or past searches. How do I turn this off?

    Hello Carter

    The history is coming from the Yahoo! Toolbar Search Assistant.

    To turn it off click the down-arrow on your profile and click "Remember recent searches" to deselect.

    Click the down-arrow again and go to OPTIONS and deselect "Search Assistant".

  2. Open inet options in the control panel and enter content. In auto complete disable web addresses.

  3. click on tools in your browser window then internet options and there you can clear history your visited sites previously.
