How do I turn the washing machine off?

Well, I've got to try and open my washing machine but its still spinning!

I dont know how to cancel the cycle- does anyone know how?

Its a Hotpoint.

the only way I can think of is to unplug it.

haha, unplug it if you can't find the off sign or button.

Most machines will automatically turn off when you open the door, but if that doesn't work, there was probably a button that you pulled out right? Try pushing that back in.
