I have one of those liquid paper pens, it's new but I rarely use it so it's clogged at the ballpoint--It won't move. The tip is perfectly clean, but it won't move therefore the white out can't ooze out.... Anyone able to share any tips or advice? I've tried washing the tip... Please help! As I'm really frustrated!!

  1. I tried all of the posted suggestions
    Needle
    Rubbing alcohol
    Fingernail polish remover.
    Also
    HEat (Match/soak in boiling water)
Nothing worked.  BUT I did discover the following important information.

THE PEN HEAD HAS LEFT HAND THREADS, so if you try to s***w it tighter, it will come unscrewed.

Inside I discovered that the material was just thickened and gunked-up.  I tried several household solvents and nothing would dissolve it.  Wikipedia says they use Trichloroethylene based solvents which are very dangerous or banned.  You could buy a little bottle of "WHite-out thinner" but INHO, these products just do not have a long shelf-life and they stop working because they dry out from the inside.

So the advice to toss it out and start over is actually, and unfortunately the best advice I could come up with too.
