How do I uncock my revolver? PLEASE HELP!!!?

I was trying to shoot a racoon and I ****** back the hammer of my Smith and Wesson .357 .177 caliber pellet gun ann I get get the hammer to go back down. I put a "mag" or "clip" into in to see if I could fire it but it won't.

point the weapon to the ground and pull the trigger And to the first poster a S/W pellet gun does have a clip.Da   As for shooting a coon with it you had better hope you can ran faster than the coon!!!!

Maybe it is a good thing the gun failed, as what you intended to do is insane, and cruel.

grip the revolver and put your thumb on the hammer, slowly pull the hammer even further back and then slowly allow it to progress forward to its uncocked position. dont allow the hammer to move forward with any force.

you put a clip into a revolver?
