how do I uninstall items from my mac?

It depends on the program. Many mac applications you can just delete the files/folders from the Applications folder. Others though might have library files and other debris spread throughout your system and those will likely come with an uninstaller to cleanly remove the program. Check inside the application folder to see if there is an uninstaller and if not, just delete the files. Hope this helps. Oh, and the previous posters Control Panel solution is for Windows...duh :)

Go to control panel, then click "uninstall programs"

Just move the .app from your Applications folder to the Trash, and then empty the trash.
