How do I unlock a Pantech Duo? ATT gave me the unlock code, numbers only.?

I won a Pantech Duo. I live where there is no ATT service. So I'd like to sell it unlocked on ebay. ATT gave me the code, but I see no way to enter the code. Should there be #* around the code? The phone has no sim card. Can I unlock it without a sim card? How?

My guess is the phone won't even turn on without a sim card. So you will need one and then you can input the code.  You should call AT&T customer care and ask to have the unlocking instructions e-mailed to you.
