How do I unsubscribe for the chat group I signed up with?

if you attempt to leave a group via the e-mail unsubscribe, it has been faulty for months- expect delays or it not working at all

go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the last column Leave group, check small box - click save changes

If the group is named InsertNameHere and you get messages from [e-mail] then you can send a blank message to InsertNameHere-unsubscribe@ yahoogroups.com (without the space after the @) and that should unsubscribe you.  Also, you can go to http://groups.yahoo.com/ and find the name of the group on the list of groups you belong to, click that group's name, and then on the group home page, click the "edit membership" link next to your name (look just below the Yahoo Groups logo graphic).

NO MATTER WHAT DO NOT EVER reply to a message or post a message to the group asking to be unsubscribed.  >>>It will not work.  It will just irritate people, especially the moderator(s).<<<

You can also manage the way you get messages - individual e-mails / daily digest / read online only - by following the above instructions to get to the "edit membership" link.

Go to the group's  site, click on edit membership along the top.  In the next window scroll down and tick leave group Click save changes and you should be out.  It may take a day to take effect
