I have asked time and again to be removed from freecycle Salem Oregon, and no results, I am tired of getting 5 to 6 hundred emails every few days to be deleted. I moved from Salem the first of December last year. Please make them stop or I will stop using yahoo for anything.

I am ready to delete Yahoo from my computer if this is not solved by Y O U

  1. Here is how you can unsubscribe from a Yahoo Group:

    1.Try to unsubscribe through:

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

    2. If this doesn't work out, send an e-mail to the group owner telling him/her to stop mailing you. (GROUPNAME-owner@yahoogroups.com)

If these still didn't work for you try the following options:

    3. Block the address(es) or arrange your preferences so that they are sent to your bulk/spam folder.

    4. Contact yahoo customer care:

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

  2. Glenda, when you ask questions on Yahoo Answers, you are not talking to actual employees of Yahoo.  We are all people just like you who ask and answer questions.

Here is the very best way to leave a group and stop the group's emails:

Sign in to the group and click "Edit Membership" near top of page. Scroll down to bottom right side of screen. Click "Leave Group". Another screen will come up, click "Leave Group". You will then be instantly unsubscribed from the group. Since the group is so active, it might take a day or so to stop receiving it's messages.

FYI - it would be good if you remove your email addresses from this question so spammers won't harvest it and start spamming you.  You can edit your question and remove them. ;)

  3. Here is the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the page: FreecycleSalem-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.c...

If you have already tried this link, here is a way for you to Contact Yahoo! Customer Care: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

  4. your membership is up to you- many owners only remove members for a reason. leave the group on your own and here's choices

    change mail prefs

go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Message Delivery, the little arrow click- drop down box select no mail or digest - click save changes

    unsub

go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Leave Group, check small box - click save changes
