How do I update my AVG Free Edition? (details inside)?

I've tried to update AVG a few times now, and it says a ".bin" file is missing. How do I fix this? I have the latest version if that helps at all. Thanks in advance.

Files missing or corrupt, best thing to do is a fresh install.  Remove the current installation, re-download, and install again,so everything is fresh.

uninstall AVG then reinstall it again because you should be able to right click on your tray icon and select update.

I had the same problem, go to where some one asked "What is a .bin file" and follow the answer on wowolf.  I did and it work great. I been working on this all night and his directions took me 2 minutes.
