How do I update my Wii?

Question

Tried to go to the shop channel and it says first I need to update my Wii under settings. Not sure how to get there. Can anyone help please?

when you start your wii go to the bottom of the screen where it says wii and click on it. Then go to wii settings. Then go to the last page by pressing the arrow twice. Then go to the wii system update.

go to the Wii Settings (click on the lower-left thing on the main menu).

one of the options will say "Update".

buy a new game and then it says update your wii

Ok connect to the Internet(see my profile to get to my answer to a question on how to connect a wii to the internet)Then go to

Options-->Wii Settings-->Update-->wait till the Wii finishes updating(about 30-60 mins)and you will receive ALL previus updates PLUS the newest one available. If a new one appears during updating, you will automactically receive it in the package!

Updates do things like:

Expand the Wii Shop Channel library

Allow you acces to hidden special feature to channels

Give you cool upgrades to channels

Enhance gaming power

Improve CPU power

Boost graphic power

AND

Increase the speed of Internet entertainment(any websites and your E-mail capability)
