How do I upgrade my Dish Network from 3 rooms to 4 without paying the $100 fee?

They LIED to me when I signed up. They told me I could do this by only paying an extra $5 a month, but they installed a single tuner, which will not work. I need a dual tuner, which will cost $100 and require my contract to be renewed. I don't need 2 more years of their bull sh**, but I want it in 4 rooms until the contract ends.

If I can get my hands on a used dual tuner box and install it, is there some way to activate it onto my account by calling them? Thanks for the help.

You should be able to purchase the dual tuner box on eBay or somewhere similar, and then call them, but you need to make sure that the receiver has the access card, or they will tax you on that as well.  If you call them with the necessary equipment, they should be able to set you up without too much hassle.

If the receiver does not include an access card, you should only need to locate the dual tuner receiver, and then call them and tell them you want to add a new device to your account.  No new contracts, and nothing more to buy but the dual tuner receiver.
