I bought an ITunes gift card just today to upgrade my ipod touch. But how do I do it? I redeemed my itunes gift card. Then after, what do I do? Cause then, I tried clicking Buy Now. Then it says enter your itunes account. So then I entered my itunes account. Then, Payment Option suddenly appeared. Then there was no option for Itunes gift card. So then i chose none. then when i clicked done, the itunes store appeared and nothing happened to my ipod touch. What do I do?

  1. make sure to register your gift card first.

connect your ipod touch > check for update> click buy now and install

it will 30 minutes give or take so make sure you have time.

    :] have fun!

  2. Hi,

I did this about one month ago, so I'm relying on memory...

Remember that the update cost $10. Then connect your itouch to your computer and click on the tab that says "your name's ipod". Under the ipod picture there should be a silver box that says, "check for updates". Click on that. Then you should click "buy now" or something like that. Then you may be prompted to type in your username and/or password. Do that and then make sure your ipod is still connected. Then the download should start (took about 30 minutes for me). Then it will begin updating your ipod which will take 10 - 15 more minutes so be patient. Hope this helps.

    P.S.

If you haven't registered your ipod yet, that may be a reason.

Also make sure that in the near top right, it says your username, and the amount of money you have in your account. **Make sure it says at least $10**
