  1. They call it that because it's stored in the Yahoo! 360 service.

First, create a 360 space at http://360.yahoo.com . While logged into a yahoo service (mail, answers, whatever), type 360.yahoo.com in your web browser's address field (or just type 360 in a Yahoo! toolbar). Start creating your 360 space from there. Click the BIG YELLOW "Get Started" BUTTON on the far right section of that page!

After that, you can log in by by clicking on the teeny tiny "Sign-in" button on the upper left of the page. Then, the page refreshes and click on the teeny tiny "Yahoo 360 Home" link on the upper right of the page to get into the 360 space.

Make sure a JPEG formatted photo (with .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe extension) under 5MB is saved to your hard drive.

    - Click your "My Page" link at the top

    - Click "Edit Profile Photos" over the empty picture frame

    - Click "Browse" and upload photo into an empty field. Then click one "use as primary" radio button on the right before saving.

You can't upload more than 4 profile pictures (this includes an avatar). Make sure that you are following the 360 Personal Photo guidelines here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui... .

Then, come back to Yahoo! Answers. Click the "My Profile" link to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the image section and check the option of showing the 360 picture. Click Preview and then the OK button.

NOTE: The image may not show up right away in Y/A, as it sometimes take days for the system to catch up. Meanwhile, an image for you will be missing.

  2. http://www.flickr.com/help/photos/

This is flickr photo help page

You pictures are stored in the system and you need to upload it to another system.

Go to your 360 'my page'

    Edit personal photo

Then click on the photo space to go to Flickr.

In Flickr, pick the photo you would like to have as your profile photo

Set it to public, share and add to Yahoo.

Back on your 360 'my page'

    edit personal photo

    click on your photo

    Set to primary and save.

Yahoo is having some bugs in their system because of the transition So you may need to wait a day or so for it to show. Some times it takes longer.

The reason for this is also the ststem is running slow .

    On your answer profile

    edit my info

    click to show 360 photo

    preview and click OK

This also may take a few days to show up
