I'm have a Canon DC210 camcorder, and I finalized my videos and put them on the computer, and I want to edit them with movie maker, but I think it's the wrong format. Help? I want to upload the edited video to youtube. I have tried this program called VideoStudio...but I want to use MovieMaker because I know how to upload that.

  1. try to convert the movie to MPEG (use SUPER from erightsoft.com) then have it uploaded in youtube

  2. just get the right cord and then plug it into your tower . its not that hard unless you dont know how . then when your video is done uploading on your computer go to youtube.com and you should know what to do from there unless your stupid .just kidding . your not stupid .

  3. you may try another format like mpeg or 3gp and use another software that easier to use, and then upload it dirctly to utube

  4. Edting video footages, as you mentioned, is but proper  instead of uploading raw video to video sharing sites, w/o titles, effects, transitions, background music. Further, to have a 'quality' movie, the bad portions are cut off... w/c could even reach more than 70%. Some experience shooting for 10 hrs just for a 5 min. movie. This means just converting the file wud not suffice.

Your DC210 is a miniDVD vcam.

It's may be better to edit your dvd .vob files thru Ulead Video Studio as this intermediate video editing application pre-processes the vob files during import w/ your DVD disk in the pc dvd drive.

If you go the wmmaker route, you wud go thru complication, i.e., convert .vob to .avi or .wmv thru another video converter (try Prism), since .vob is not supported by wmmaker. Well, it's a choice to make.

Sharing/ finishing for upload is similar for both...thru Neptune, so you already have the wmm experience to upload..

    Try VS for a change.

  5. Hard Part: Find a way for your PC to communicate with your cam first. That's the tricky part! It would be either USB, Firewire, or sometimes wireless would work. After that, copy the video you wanted to upload.

Easy Part: Download "Any Video Converter". It's a great free program! I use it myself. Not only will it help you with this problem, it will help you with lots of video problems as well. Now, convert your video to FLV format so that YouTube will process it faster. Sit back, relax, and let the converter do the work. Afterwards, upload the finished video to YouTube (look for the "Upload" button and click!)

And your good to go! Just hope no problems will arrise with your internet connection or you'll have to redo the uploading process again! Hassle! But it will be worth it once you see your video on YouTube and be able to share it with anyone in the world.

    Have fun!

  6. Check if the file format of your saved video (on your computer's hard disk) is supported file format by youtube. If you're receiving an error with your Upload, you might want to make sure you're attempting to upload a file that's recognized by YouTube. YouTube accepts video files from most digital cameras and camcorders, and cell phones in the .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, and .MPG file formats.

Once you’ve finished editing your video, make sure it's less than 10 minutes, smaller than 100MB, and in an acceptable format, you're ready to upload it.

Click the "Upload" button in the upper-right-hand corner of any YouTube page.

Enter as much information about your video as possible, including Title, Description, Tags, and Category. The more information you include, the easier it is for users to find your video!

Determine if you want your video set to Public or Private.

Click the "Upload a Video..." button.

In the next window, click the "Browse" button to browse for the video file. Select the file you want to upload.

    Click the "Upload Video" button.

It can take from a couple minutes to an hour for your video to upload to YouTube.

    Goodluck.
