How do I upload pictures from my camera to my computer?

I have a canon SD1000. I have a plug with a black and yellow cord. But i dont know how to plug it in since it wont fit in the back.

there are 2 ways you can do this you can either take the wire with a USB, which has the rectangluar connector which going in the computer and the funky trapzoid like connector which goes into the camera then turn on the camera and the computer should automatically read the camera then just drag your pictures into the computer, the other way is the take the SD card out of the camera and put it in a memory card reader and then drag and drop this way will save your battery and it's as easy as that
