Question:

How do I upload pictures from my computer back to my camera memory card?

I have a digital picture frame and would like to use a memory card to store the photos. My computer doesnt have a place to directly put the memory card so I can't put photos on there in that way. I think I can upload them by hooking up my camera (with the memory card inside) to my computer with a USB cord, but I can't figure out what to do from there. Can anyone help? Thanks :)

  1. You can try to drag & drop the files directly to the camera hardware, however it is listed on your computer. What I would do is (if you are on a PC) highlight the pictures you want, and copy them to the DCIM or MISC folders on your camera's memory card.

  2. open a window for your camera from your 'My Computer' button on your desktop. then drag and drop it from the picture file or copy and paste it into the memory card window of your camera. your computer will probably recognize both the camera memory and the memory card as two different 'drives' the second drive is normally the memory card in your camera.

  3. You generally can't transfer files that way, but you can easily transfer images/files to a memory card if you use a USB card reader. Just plug it and your memory card into your computer's USB port...which will be recognized as a removable drive. Then just copy any file you like to it.

You can also use a USB flash drive in exactly the same way. Except you don't need the card reader. It connects directly to your computer's USB port, transfer what you like to it...then plug the flash drive into the frame's USB port.

Most photo frames also allow a direct connection to your PC via USB cable.

Check the instructions that came with the frame...
