How do I upload the best quality video possible?

I have a high res video camera but when I upload to youtube the video looks terrible. When I render the movie from the raw data I always select the best quality possible but it never looks as good as the original video on youtube. Is it the format, ie; .wmv? Should I try to render it to a differnet format that youtube allows?

no, it isn't anything that has to do with format. When you upload to youtube, it has to be compressed to such a small size that will make your video look a little pixelated or what not, but I think that it has to do with youtube's video compression. If you are uploading from a video editor, it might have a youtube setting inside to the program already.
