  1. You can use BitPM with Audacity to upload ringtones to your phone. See the links below for a video tutorial. It will show you how to use Audacity and BitPM.

  2. Audacity is pretty straightforawrd.

You see those little buttons on the upper left side of the interface.

The first is an insert control. You secelct parts of the music with that. So say you want to  get rid of half of your tune. You put the insert at the halfway point and drag, like you make any selection... you'll see the selected area is darker. Now if you simply hit the delete button, that will remove the part you selected.

If you need to be very accurate, make your selection, use the maginfying glass tool to get in close, hit the space bar (which will play from the beginning of your selection.) This will give you an idea where your selection is. To be even more precise, roll the mouse poiter over the beginning of the selection. See how the curser changes? You can now move the selection start (or end) forward or backward precisely.

    Hope this helped.

Audacity is a great tool... just not well documented.

  3. open up Audacity. go to file open- click- find the file you want-- where you put it example my documents find file example lovingyou.mp3 click on flie you should get a bar across your audacity showing lines of music. click your mouse over the area you want to cut out hold and drag the area go to edit click on cut move your mouse to the next area repeat until you have the length desired. Then go to file save
