Question:

How do I use Microsoft Office Mobile on my smartphone?

I got a smartphone from ATT about a month ago and have been trying to figure out how to view PowerPoint presentations and Word documents with the Office Mobile application. Is there a certain format I have to save them in before I put them in my documents in my phone's memory? I've tried just saving it as I usually would and copying to my documents, but they don't show up on the phone that way. Any help?

  1. You need to use ActiveSync, or the Vista replacement Windows mobile device center, to convert the files to a format the mobile device can handle.  With ActiveSync, you can the "Explore" icon when you have the device synced.  Then just drag the file where you want it on the device from Windows.  It will be converted automatically.

For Vista, I would think it is similar.  However, I refuse to use Vista because they wont support older MS Mobile OS's on it.  So I wonder what OS's they wont support on the Vista replacement they are planning....
