How do I use a Diablo 2 CD key?

Hello. I recently bought the diablo battle chest, but i cant find the cd key, and its the first game i've bought that actually has one, so if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

It should be a sticker on one of the cases/sleeves that the discs came in. Long list of letters and numbers.
