How do I use a Dual Stick Gampad to play Counter-Strike:Source?

Hello, I've been playing Counter-Strike:Source for a while and have decided to play it with a Dual Stick Gamepad, I know most people say "Just use the mouse and keyboard" but I really want to see how "HARD" it is to play with a Gamepad, I would really appreciate it if someone helped me on using my GM-1520 Trust Predator Dual Stick Gamepad. I have already tried to configure it in the options and it didn't work (I did set the Joystick Check-Box on with the Joystick Look Checkbox too). Can I have some help?

-Oh, and please do not tell me to stick with the mouse and keyboard; Thanks!-

  1. There's a few keyboard emulators out there that work very, very well with game pads. Basically these programs convert things like the left and right sticks into mouse movements. It's all pretty nifty stuff - all this is done real-time with virtually no noticeable input lag at all. There are two programs that I know of that do this. One is XPadder (Free) and the other is Pinnacle (shareware). See attached for the links.

  2. stick with the keyboard and mouse :P
