  1. Hamster bath? I didnt know there was such a thing as your not meant to bath hamsters.

  2. You are supposed to use chinchilla sand. Hamsters take "baths" by rolling in the sand. You just put some sand in the bathhouse and the hamster should roll around in it. But mine doesn't take baths...

  3. Chinchilla sand.

It really isn't nesscary for a hamster to get a "bath" though.  Chinchilla sand is a bit pricey.

Just make sure NEVER EVER EVER get your hamster wet!  They get sick very easily!

  4. Just put the chinchilla sand in the bath container (NO WATER) and place that in your pets cage or playpen. Your pet will eventually get curious and explore it. Most hamsters seem to love it and will roll around in the dry sand looking terribly silly.

  5. HAMSTERS DO NOT NEED BATHS.

  6. Never give your hamster a bath, no matter how dirty it is. Chinchilla sand, which can be purchased at a pet store, is a good alternative. It is safe for dwarf hamsters and many of them like to roll in it. It will remove excess oils from the fur.

  7. Never bathe a hammie, giving one a bath removes natural and oils from the hamster’s coatwhich can cause the hamster to catch a cold and die. Bathing should only be done in certain   conditions like if your hamster has something toxic on its fur. A hamster will clean itself if it feels the need to. Chinchilla dust or sand will keep their clean and oil free. I have a Chinchilla and a hammie so I use sand for both of them. I got a hamster bath at a pet store and also if u want the scent I use special vanilla bean dust. Also it is fun to watch them roll around in there.
