I have the Navman f20 SatNav and want to use it in Spain, I know I need to buy the Europe map for it, but how do I actually use it in Spain, do the Spanish have postcodes like the UK? Thanks.

  1. Of course we have!

In page 11 of the Navman F20 user guide it says:

"Searching for directions using post codes."

"Some regions allow you to look for addresses using post codes. It is easier to find a place using a post code than searching by town/city name: post codes can get you faster to your final destination (for example, some post codes will drive you straight to a certain street block or house. Follow the same steps like when searching by city or area."

In my opinion, using post codes in the northern countryside can be very useful because there are many village named the same which can led to mistake. In major towns, cities and the middle and south of spain you won't get so lost.

  2. Yes ther are postcodes in Spain, but they are not as specific as in the UK and cover perhaps a whole town or local area, but hey chances are you wont know the postcodes of somewhere you want to go anyway so dont worry. Your sat nav will take you to street level and places of interest such as train stations, museums etc, and can also be good when walking in big towns and cities.
