I am writing a letter to apply for work experience at a business that manufactures drugs to treat cancer. I would like to say:

'I am keen to learn more about the manufacture of ... drugs'

with ... being the correct term for drugs to treat cancer.

Is it oncological? Or something similar. Thankyou for your help.

  1. i think it is just oncology drugs.

a dictionary my be more helpful then me though.

  2. If you use the adjective oncologic or oncological (either) you are effectively saying 'cancer drugs'-which isn't strictly what the company produce.

Instead I wouldn't seek to be too clever but use one of the following:

    Cancer treatment drugs

    Anti cancer drugs

Else research exactly what the company's products actually do.

You may find that they are 'Tumour shrinking drugs' or similar.
