How do I use "arts" in Ninja Gaiden?

I got ninja gaiden (xbox), used and it had no booklet. I really dont know how to use the "arts". Can someone help me out?

That's easy.

First select an Art from the menu.

Then return to the came.

Press Y+B (press both Y and B at the very same time), the art will be executed
