Question:

How do I use small images to make one large image?

I'm making a mosaic on photoshop for my girlfriend, and I was wondering how I might be able to use a bunch of small images(hearts shapes, etc) to make one giant image. Such as a picture I already have. Basically using the mosaic technique on Photoshop still, I want to know how I can add small heart shapes to form a picture, instead of the squares and such. I've seen many posters that had a bunch of small images to make one giant scene, so I thought I would be able to incorporate that.

If you want to use hearts as shapes, it's no big trick. You'll need to mask the heart shape in photoshop first on your images, before pulling them into the Mosaic program.

In Photoshop, create a heart shaped selection, then invert and delete. For the background of the cutout, I would make some dark, some medium gray or middle color, and some white, so that the program has something more to work with.
