My boyfriend bought me an IPod Nano for our anniversary, and it's been like 2 months and I can't seem to figure out how to work it. I've been told I don't actually have to use ITunes, but how can I put songs already on my computer on the I Pod?

  1. Connect the USB cord to the USB Port

Connect the iPod to the USB cord

    Download iTunes

Open iTunes and uncheck the boxes that tells you to sync and click OKAY

Click on the Manually Manage iPod box and apply

In iTunes > click on File > add file/folder > click on your music file/folder (they must be in MP3 format) and click OKAY.

After you have imported all the music, click on the first file > hold down SHIFT > and scroll down to the last song and click it

Now, drag all your music to the iPod and release on the MUSIC folder

After everything is on the iPod, you can create playlists and add album art and whatnot.

Eject your iPod (click the EJECT button in the bottom right corner of iTunes,) listen to music, and be content.

    Good luck.
