I have this fluffy comforter (which isn't down) and every time I wash one of these new really nice ones...all the fluff goes to the sides of the comforter to it isn't fluffy in the middle any more. This makes me very sad and frustrated!

  1. Dryer balls are great for keeping it fluffy.  If you don't have dryer balls, tennis balls work well too.  Place one inside the comforter and one outside of it when you place it in the dryer.  I would also take it out half way through and fluff it a bit and then put it back in the dryer for the rest of the time.

  2. I would take it to the dry cleaners. Yes you may pay a little more, but when you wash these on your own it's what happens. You're not doing anything wrong it's just how it works in residential size washers and dryers. Best of luck!
