How do I wash clothes with sand on it?

Question

We just came from the beach, and now have loads of clothes with sand on it. I just took them out of the washer, only to find that the sand is still on there and that there is sand all over the washer.

So what am I to do?

You should have first rinsed the clothes in a bathtub or somewhere filled with water to remove the sand. THEN wash it.

Vacuum out the sand.

well you should of shook them out and got as much sand as you could off of the clothes before you put them in the washer then there would of been no problem maybe if you hand wash them cus then you can get it off and know that you've got the sand off

Let them dry.  Then shake them off.  Wipe down the machines to get sand out.  USE A WET TOWEL.
