How do I wash my son's favorite baseball hat?

My son has an autigraphed baseball cap,,,how can I wash it without trashing it?

In the diswasher on the top rack in the cold cycle.

i advice to not put it in a washing machine     you can take a wet rag and wipe it     if that doesn't work you can buy a case that keeps the hats shape in the wash      go to http://www.lids.com/pid/00705

At Walmart they sell some plastic cap holders that you put the cap in and then you place the cap in the upper rack of your dishwasher.  Add dishwasher soap and wash on a regular cycle.  (of course do not have dirty dishes in there)  This works wonderfully on my husbands dirty work caps.  I sometimes use spray & wash on his but I would be careful with your son's cap it being autographed and all.

Wisk and tepid water in the sink ~swish it around good and let it soak for 15 minutes.  Then rinse well and let it drip dry (do not wring it) and try to keep it's shape the whole time.

When it is not wringing wet anymore, put it on your son's head and let him go outside in the sunshine til it dries and it is sure to fit him and hold it's shape again.
