  1. I think the answer is pretty obvious. I have one suggestion though. Don't use fabric softener because it makes some towels "water repellent". I'm not kidding, I had a set of towels that would not absorb water until I stopped using fabric softener on them. It was so ridiculous, we still joke about them.

  2. Use hot water in the wash!! Just put them in the wash..Put detergeant in..Make sure lights and darks are seperated. Then when they are done throw them in the dryer with a dryer sheet and they are done!

  3. You put them in a washer,then a DRYER.

    WHOA???

  4. put it in the washing machine with the stuff to wash it and start the machine :)

  5. You are kidding, right? Soap, towels, washer. Then put them in the dryer when they are done being washed.

  6. Just wash em like normal laundry.

  7. Wash the towels in hot water with regular laundry soap. You can use non-chlorine bleach if you want. If the machine has an extra rinse cycle, do that. Wash dark towels with dark towels, and light towels with light towels. Don't wash other clothes with towels, because you will get lint on the clothes. I don't use fabric softener of any type, because that makes the fabric less absorbent. Dry them and then make sure you clean the lint filter-towels can leave a lot of lint behind.

  8. go to the laundry mat, they are bound to have one in a college town

  9. well first

you throw them in the washing thing with some soap and this is the trick: a penny!

    ya i know crazy!

    it works though

  10. i use hot water- i also think that you should put soap powder in first and fill basin then add towels-do not forget fabric softener

  11. Just put the correct amount of soap in the washer, start the washer and add your towels. Try to keep colors in one load and whites in another.

You can use a downy ball for the softner so you don't have to sit and wait if you bought that kind (and it doesn't have to be downey either).

If you bought dryer sheets, toss one in the dryer

  12. go put them in the laundry wash them. what exactly isthe problem. they are normal clothes. look the tag on them and see how to care for them. some towels are ment to be hand washed but i perfer them to be in the laundry to get them extra clean. if you dont want to pay then go to your parents house and wash laundry or a family member that owns a laundry facility n their home

  13. Step 1: Grab your towels

    Step 2: Open washing machine

Step 3: Place towels in washing machine

Step 4: If top loader, sprinkle prescribed amount of soap onto towels.

Step 4 again: If front loader, place prescribed amount of soap into soap reservoir.

Step 5: Place prescribe amount of softener in the 'softener' reservoir

    Step 6: Close lid,/door.

Step 7: Switch on power to washing machine.

    Step 8: Select wash cycle

    Step 9: Press play (start)

Step 10: Relax, do something else until the washing machine ceases to operate.

Step 11:  When washing machine ceases to operate, open lid.

    Step 12: Remove towels

Step 13a: Hang towels on clothes line.

Step 13 b: Or place towels in dryer.

Step 14:  If using dryer, Select required temperature and time to dry.

    Step 15: Press 'Start'

Step 16: When dry, remove towels from clothes dryer/clothes line.

Step 17: Fold and store as usual.

Phew!!  I didn't think washing towels took so much effort.

PS.  On a serious note, try replacing the softener with Baking Soda.  Your towels will be jus so so so fluffy.

  14. put towels in washing machine

    add soap

    then add softener

    pull out towels after washed.

    put towels in dryer

    after dryed..fold! :d

  15. Towels into the washing machine with the required amount of laundry powder (see package for details), set the machine for a regular wash with a double rinse option if possible.  DO NOT USE SOFTENER when washing towels as it builds up over time making them coarse.  Rinsing twice and leaving out the softener will ensure a soft fluffy towel.

  16. put in a capful/scoopful of detergent, put the towels in loosely, then put the washer on wash warm temp. i always put a little extra detergent on the laundry at top. let wash, put in dryer with softener sheets, and then dry for atleast 60 seconds.

Edit: i meant 60 minutes not seconds

  17. Colored towels together

    White towels together

Add a capful of liquid laundry detergent. Colored towels in cold water and white towels in warm or hot water.

In all cases add 1 cup of white vinegar to the wash water to keep towels soft.

Use the normal or heavy duty cycle on your washer.

Use the normal cycle on your dryer.

  18. You was your dirty towels u used at that last kegger party with another towl.

lol jk u put them in the toilet and put all your soap and softener in with it and flush a few times.

just laundry em or have your roomate to it.

  19. What I do is start the water in the washer, setting the washer on small, medium or large, depending on how much laundry will be in the washer.  Add detergent and let it dissolve in there a little.  I use hot water but have no cold on my washer.  You could use warm.  Put the towels in, close the lid and let them wash.  When it stops completely after washing, spinning, rinsing and spinning again, then take them out, put them in the dryer and set the timer .  Try for thirty minutes and if they are not dry, then set it for a little more time.  I do not add liquid softener, instead using a dryer sheet.  The dryer sheet has to go in the dryer on top of the wet clothes.  Now one more thing.  Don't mix dark colors and light.  You will ruin it all. I also wash my colored underwear with the towels.  It doesn't hurt a thing. Good luck.

  20. the laundry!!!!!!!

  21. I wash and dry them the same as I do all my clothes....

  22. put about 1/2 (depends on the soap) a cup of soap in and set the washer on high water level and on the super duty spin cycle and dry on high

  23. Hi

I wash towels in warm water, and usually a cold rinse {energy efficient thinking here}  Regular cycle. You can add liquid fabric softer to the rinse cycle or use dryer sheets in the dryer, or you can do both with the softener,  for softer towels.  It's all in how you want to do it and how you want the towels to feel!

Good Luck and Have a Great Year!

    Katie

  24. turn the washer on and it will start filling with water add one cup of detergent (laundry stuff like tide). then throw in the towels and close the lid. wait till the first washing cycle finishes  when it fills up for the second time add the fabric softener  then wait till the washer turns off (total time takes like 1 hour). then the washer will not have water in it so remove the towels and toss them in the dryer for one cycle also.

and there you have it clean towels

  25. Towels need to be washed by themselves or you'll have lint on other things. Like colors means don't wash white towels with dark ones.If you have white towels wash in hot water with your soap and add a little bleach. Colors can be washed on warm, no bleach. Softener makes them feel nice, but don't use it every-time or you end up with towel that are hard to get dry with because they can't absord water

  26. Well, I am a fellow college student who LOVES doing laundry! So your lucky day! lol

I was my towels using hot water, put in the detergent and liquid softener, and if you have the old washer and dryer like I do, put the detergent and softener in the water before you put your towels in. Then shut the lid and let it do its thing :D

I hope this answered your question. 8-D
