  2. bring them to a ski chalet or ski rental place or store

they will do it for really cheap

    good luck

  3. Get an old iron.

Get some wax from the ski shop. There are different types. The big difference between waxes is the temperature they are designed for. They are all labeled, but you can always ask the ski shop clerk for additional info.

If you don't have a basement or garage, you can wax in the kitchen. I use an old tarp on the floor to catch the melted wax and the scrapings.

    Use two chairs as sawhorses.

Don't set the iron too high...just enough to melt the wax. I tend to melt the wax by holding it to the iron and letting it drip on to the base. Then I lightly use the iron to spread the wax over the base. LOW HEAT.

Let it dry. Scrape. I use a plastic putty knife when I can't find my actual wax scraper.

Before I wax I check the bases for any burrs or big divots. Sometimes I'll have to trim any burrs with a razor or use P-Tex on the base to fill in the holes. You'll have to let the P-Tex set before you can wax.

Wax in a room with good ventilation.
