How do I word my invitations?

my fiance and i are having a destination wedding and only inviting our parents and siblings. when we return from the honeymoon, we're having a reception with all of our family and friends. what should the invitations say to let everyone know that they will only be attending the reception. i don't people showing up expecting a ceremony! thanks!

Wedding announcements are pretty common. Any stationary/printing store can show you a number of other examples.

Put your names, the date/place where you got married, and the reception information. Remember to put "No gifts, please" since these people didn't attend the ceremony.

Just put "Mr. and Mrs. ______________ invite you to attend a reception in honor of their (wedding date) marriage."  Then just put the reception info.
