How do I write a 5 paragraph research paper?

I'm writing about death camp revolts at Sobibor during the Holocaust.

I need a thesis sentence in my first paragraph & I don't know how to write the other 3 paragraphs.

I only know how to start it off and end it.

& I can only write about one topic.

The revolts at the death camp.

So

Paragraph 1: Intro

Paragraph 2: ? talk about ... how the revolt started...

Paragraph 3: ? talk about....what happened during the revolt.

Paragraph 4: ? talk about...how many people died during the revolt?

Paragraph 5: Conclusion.

  1. Listen to the college professor he knows ?

I"d suggest you find out a lot about your subject so you can get into the feel of how it mustve felt for these POWs that will get you in the right frame of mind to talk freely about it without it being too analytical and stiff ?

Find out some interesting facts that could intrigue your readers ?

Were there some escape stories ?

Who survived after the War ?

Were there any successful people who made it in life after the camp ?

remember the reader is already familiar with the death camp ? Its how you can weave this into a story that is not cliche, that will grab your professors eye ?

  2. if you know how to start it off and end it, then the body should be easy

the first body is about hoe the revolt started

so i would start with something like this, The people at the camps were desperate and wanted to live, so they had no other choice but to fight for their lives

then go on talking about what and how they started to revolt

now you have an idea on how to do the other 2

  3. Here's my suggestion:

Your intro should be catchy. Try to get your audience's attention. One thing that works really well is trying to get your audience to imagine they are somewhere. You do this by describing the surroundings: the sounds, the smells, the sights, the feelings, etc. In your case, you can use your reader's senses to have them imagine life at Sobibor.

Your thesis should be your topic plus your direction. Obviously your topic is the revolt and your direction is the main points you plan to discuss in your three body paragraphs.

You want your thesis to be the last sentence of your intro. It's basically to give your readers an idea of what exactly your paper is about. It's really the most important part of your paper.

    Good luck!
