I live in a 50 apt. Complex. I would like to do Housecleaning in my bldg. hopefully to make some money. I don't know how to go about writing a flyer. How much to quote a price that is fair such as; studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms etc; I don't want to upset any of my neighbors after all I do live there. I really need the money. I am a mature adult. I never did anyone else's housekeeping. Do I buy my own cleaning supplies? what would I buy?

  1. to write a flyer, make sure to list all services you will perform, and to be clear, if there are any you won't, list them as well.  here is an example...

    Make beds, change linens

Clean and disinfect toilets, and showers

Completed dusting of baseboards, furniture, etc

Sweep, vacuum tile, hardwood and carpet

    Kitchen counters and appliances

    Remove trash

Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, or One time cleaning

    Residential Only

    Additional services are available

You can also list that you will give free estimates, but in order to come up with fair pricing, call the local maids/cleaning services in your area and ask how much they would charge.  that will give you an idea... obviously you will want to charge less than they do!  Also, you will no doubt need to be stocked with your own cleaning supplies.  Many people who hire cleaning services hire them so that they dont have to keep a closet full of cleaning supplies. And you will need any and all supplies to at least perform the services you are offering in the flyer.  Good luck!
