How do I write "Chinese Simplified" and "Chinese Traditional" in Chinese?

I have a list of links to download translated documents. I have documents in Simplified and Traditional Chinese but do not know exactly what text I should display for the links. Wikipedia has multiple entries for each. What is considered best practice?

If your reader is from Taiwan or Hong kong, then Traditional Chinese.

If your reader is from mainland China, then Simplified Chinese.

But as the person said above, most Chinese people indeed can read both.

瀿體 -- traditional chinese.  The above poster wrote the literal characters for the meaning of the word "tradition", but when referring to the way of writing Chinese characters, it should be what I've written. "fan ti" -- fan means numerous, abundant, which refers the fact that traditional Chinese characters have many more strokes than the simplified characters.  



簡體 -- simplified chinese.

Simplified Chinese way of writing:

简体 (jian ti) - Chinese simplified

繁体 (fan ti) - Chinese traditional

Traditional Chinese way of writing:

簡體 (jian ti) - Chinese simplified

繁體 (fan ti) - Chinese traditional

It really does not matter much which you use. Most people can read both, especially those from China. However, if you are targeting Taiwanse, the traditional way of writing is more common.
