How do I write stuff in the black screen (DOS maybe?)

Hard to explain lol.. like I need to program something or whatever to make it do it.. I'm trying to learn programming and a C tutorial taught me how but it made no sense.

  1. First of all you need to go get either a Pearl or Python compiler program.  These are free and are easy to down load.  Then they will give you the screen to start programming.  Also Python will give tutorials on how to take it from basic to advanced.  It will take some time and patience but if you stick with it you will get it.

    I was told to use this by a computer science professor at LSU if I wanted to learn and didn't want to pay for a compiler.

  3. If you talking about programming in C++, then there is a great program called Dev C++.  Search google for DevC++ and choose the first one from BloodShed.  Then click "Go to downloads page".  Once there choose to download the first one from SourceForge.  Hope this is what you are looking for.
