Question:

How do I zero a scope and how do I mount it on a airgun?

Last night, I have purchased a crosman air rifle that came with a scope, safety goggles, pellets, and bbs, and I cannot really figure out how to mount and zero the scope on the gun. I do not have a vice, so it is pretty hard for me to set it up. If so, can someone please help me out? And, please help me out with which s***w do I adjust to set it right (on top, or on the side).

By the way, when I shoot a target, I am most of the time off by around 4-5 inches down. So, for example, when I shoot a target, the bullet usually ends up under the target.

And, I have a 4x15 crosman scope (if that helps). Thanks alot! I really need help, so please give me a thorough explanation. Thanks again, I would really appreciate your time and help.

  1. He gave you enough info on mounting the scope.  Want a good way to get it close to zero without even firing it?

Sit in front of a mirror (like a bathroom mirror) with your unloaded firearm.  Look through the scope.  What you want to do is adjust the windage and elevation screws until the crosshairs are centered in the rifle barrel.

That's it.  That'll put you real close.  Now all you need to do is fire it from some kind of bench to zero it the rest of the way.

  2. to adjust the zero u turn the elevation and windage k***s on your scope ( they will be in the middle of the scope and may have caps on them u will need to remove) the elevation ( up or down) k**b should be on the top of the scope and the windage k**b (left or right) should be on the side. ( the way u are supposed to turn the k***s for adjustment should be on them if not look in the owners manual.) ALSO IF U HAVN"T ALREADY READ THE OWNERS MANUAL I SHOULD TELL U EVERYTHING U NEED TO KNOW.

CHECK THIS OUT ON HOW TO MOUNT THE SCOPE http://www.pyramydair.com/site/articles/...
