How do I zero out the list to avoid topics of no interest?

Question

When I open My Groups it says I have X# of new messages and/or views for each group. Many of these messages I have deliberately chosen to NOT OPEN due to lack of interest. As long as I do not open them, they remain "new messages". How can I mark all topics read so that I can view only the newest topics since my last visit?

if you're talking about the "Activity within 7 days" at the top of the page, thats default and you cant edit that or zero it out. you cant mark all topics read either. sorry
