How do I(a guy) find the style/cut I want? (French/Noir/Unkept)?

Question

I need to know where to acquire help for getting the 'French/Noir/Indie' syle I want, whether its a site, pictures, descriptions I could use to the stylist.

ANYTHING!..Google Images isn't doing the job at the mo.

Im 21 year old young gent, tall, dark with longish hair(overgrown: fring reaches chin, back touches collar, side 2-3 inches past jaw).

My hair is VERY thick at the moment, as I have not has it cut for almost 5 months.

..I MUST have a fairly rough unkept look as I'm always grabbing or messing my hair to some extent. I dislike the 'emo' or typical 'indie' look...and I dispise the '90's model' look.. I have more of a french type style with what I wear. think Noir!

Any sites where I can get immediate help for when I venture down to the 'stylist'...I need something to show them.

Perhaps you could try to suggest to your stylist that you prefer a grunge-rocker-ish-indie look? Messy, Unkept, but at the same time, maintained and stylish?

model your hairstyle and style best to you i.e if your a sports player go for one with minimal care.

if you are messy go for an untidy look

if you are always centre of a tension go for something trendy and bring back new fashions

if you are bold go for somit bright wid lodsa colour

if your posh go for expensive stuff

or i  know dis works for gils it ill probably work for guys
