  1. We aren't anit-americanism as such, Americans just do stupid things :P

Anyhows, nar, us Kiwis are a pretty friendly bunch. Give a bit of ****, take a bit of **** etc.

As long as you are aware that we aren't part of Australia, nothing wrong :)

  2. ARE YOU FOR REAL?? we love americans, well I personally love americans, and that d!ckhead that was saying c**p about americans dragging us into vietnam and garbage like that is the one in a million d!ckhead that will say things like that (please note that we have 4 million people here meaning there is probably only 4 people like that in the whole country, lol) but in all honesty, there are a few criticisms about how asian people are heavily migrating to our country, but most people keep their comments to themselves, that about sums up any kind of foreigners that are criticised, I have been friends with americans in the past and they have NEVER been picked on or anything, if anything they have been popular! Good luck, and please do consider coming, we will welcome you as our brothers, as we do most foreigners (except Australians, lol, jk)

  3. There's no way we are Anti-American, we're a pretty friendly bunch, of course your gonna come across some dickheads, but you will in any country anyway.

It's a great place to bring up kids, especially out in the country, Country communities are very tight and look out for each other.

City living is, personally, too fast for me, I like my hick town, but then you gotta worry about finding a job.

Come on over, you'll be sweet as!

P.S:  Best place to be......South Island if you're in to skiing and stuff or come on down to sunny Mangakino in the South Waikato, you'll love it here, but you have to travel to get a job.

  4. False,

We are not anti-American, a lot of the stuff we do here and the way we do it is very American. I personally do not have anything against Americans, I think that they are a great bunch of people. New Zealand is a great place to bring kids as it is very safe, the cops don't even carry weapons, it is that safe.

  5. We aren't antiamerican. Our government tends to appear (to americans perhaps) anti the Bush Administration. But this is not to do with Americans per se.

I love Wellington. But you should probably do a bit of a recce to check out the country. I would suggest visiting the British Expats Forum website (google it). While it is aimed at Brits it is a very friendly website and they would still be able to help you.

One thing is - Kiwis take the mickey out of people. So if you feel like people are making comments that could appear rude if you do come to NZ just ask them what it means. invariably they will be joking with you.

I think we kiwis are friendly :) We say thank you to the bus drivers for our trip, which apparently surprises many tourists :)

Go for it. It is highly unlikely to be a negative experience and your children would almost certainly learn and enjoy the experience.

  6. p**s off!! Don't come to my country!  Go to Iraq you baby killing b******s!!  We haven't forgotten how you terminated ANZUS, dragged us into Vietnam, and sat on your hands for most of WW2.  Take your racist capitalist gun-slinging kyoto-protocol-breaking arses somewhere else!!!

    Does that answer your question?

  7. Nope I'm not anti them, but could you bring me some Reese's Peanut buttercups and some Crest toothpaste? lol. I love them lots.

I very highly doubt that you'll be abused based on the fact that you're American, and if you are it'll only be immature people who think all of America is made up of George Bush followers..

It depends what sort of job you are planning on having. Auckland is New Zealand business and economic and migrant core. More than 60% of all business headquarters are in Auckland. It's very cosmopolitan and a much smaller version of Sydney. There are many cultures in Auckland. Wellington is the capital, so many Govt. Dept. are in Wellington. It's a lot more 'arty' than Auckland. Christchurch is also a core area. I live in Dunedin but I'm moving to Wellington next year.

  8. False. We judge people on who they are, not where the come from

  9. most people of the world are anti american - the killing and oil grabbing and not the people themselves.

how you get on here depends on you. if your a gun ho - kill the arabs before they kill us type, you wont get far. if you understand non americans dont like the American aggression in the world and you consider all people to be equal, arab or not, then come over and have a blast

no snakes, no bears, no wolfs, no scorpions, cops dont carry guns, kids dont shot other kids at school its a paradise old NZ - and an idilic place to raise kids

EDIT: sorry missed the bit about hating Bush - your a humanitarian i would expect - so come on over, we are expecting you
