  1. First class.

  2. i swam here

  3. I wish they would come to New York's upstate region, we could use some cool immigrants to liven up this area

  4. Koreans can enter Canada and Mexico without a visa, so the majority enter from those boarders.

    They fly,they don't ride in a boat.

Some pay a lot of money and get visa's and come directly into the U.S.

There are people in Korea that will take care of your complete trip for $40,000.

Some come here on a tourist visa and then don't go home.

For people traveling in poor conditions on a boat you probably need to look at the Chinese.

  5. Hardly any Koreans come to California(and other parts of the US) by boat; it's too far to trip all the way from Korea to US on a boat.

Actually many Koreans enter the US legally with proper Visas(tourist visa, student visa and etc.). However, some of them don't return to Korea and that's how they become illegal immigrants.

I know several Koreans who came to the States as regular tourists(regular students) and never go back to Korea even though their Visas have expired.

Flying to Canada or Mexico and then sneaking into the US is also a possible option.

"lestermount"'s answer is right; People traveling in poor conditions on a boat are Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipinos and thousands of Latinos, not South Koreans.

"bebbiwebbi", I'm pretty positive that Vietnamese came to the States on a small boat until 1980s. Mexicans and Cubans still do.

When I was in Vancouver in 2003, two Korean guys actually stole into the States who'd gone to the same Korean church with me.

  6. Most undocumented Koreans enter legally on tourist visa or student visa.  Then they just don't leave the US after their visa expires.  Few arrive here on work visa and overstay their welcome.  I know a woman who came here on a marriage visa, and the marriage didn't work out, and she became an undocumented immigrant.

I've probably met hundreds of Koreans who are undocumented, and I know for sure none came through Canada or Mexico.  That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while.  Although I do remember seeing something on cnn a while back, I think they were from mainland China.

And, no, BlueMoon, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipinos do not come here on a small boat with hundreds of people in them.  They probably did in the 1920's.  Seriously....
