How do MMA fighters get their start? Is there a tournament that they go to?

BY training and competing several years in there respective fighting discipline or multiple ones,then start training MMA then after they are ready to compete they start at the bottom by fighting in smaller shows and work there way up to the big leagues such a K1,UFC,WEC,KOTC,IFL etc etc....

It's a tough sport and takes several years or training and dedication.

They train in a martial art like muay or jiu jitsu and do fights in that art and then enter MMA fights.

they usually have training in several martial arts, and they just start off in local fights and then move on from there, u have tons of fights and tournaments going on all around the country/ and the world, the more succesful guys go to organizations like Shooto, Cage Rage, IFL, and then later if their realy good the UFC, DREAm , fights are set up by mangers and or the team or school a fighter is training with
