silly question really, you should know that the money comes out of your taxes.

the money is spent on running the prisons, and it is not always spent that wisely.

We all pay taxes unfortunately and thats how they get money

it comes from the government out of the taxes that we pay, the money is spent on things for the prison, maintanence of the prison and its grounds, security, things that keep the prison going, food for the prisoners etc.

i think the money is not really spent wisely.

All government funded. A lot of them are like large motels with flatscreen tvs, underfloor heating and are fed better than most NZers! They're treated too good in NZ. If I was PM, that'd be something i'd change. So I don't think they spend the money wisely!
