How do PENS fans feel when you read your WHINER was extended 3 years?

Seriously..... Therrien had no answer for the WINGS style of play. All he did was whine to try and get the PENS on the PP, the only place they had a chance to make a difference.

I thinks its absolutely a great thing for the PENS to extend him..... it will keep the bandwagon Crosby fans without a CUP for a while longer. It shows me that Mario and Shero dont realize how far away they were from competing with an ELITE team from the WEST!

how many cups did Detroit lose after winning the Pres trophy or after having the most points in the league before the trophy?.... You know, you're right, there's no reason to keep the coach that took them from worst in the league to the Stanley Cup Finals in two years........ nah..... wouldn't want that guy coaching my team......... oh wait.... he IS coaching my team.... good deal.

Can't realy blame him it worked against the Rag. When the Penns fell each time they touched them it gave them the p.p's to win. I think he is just the kind of soft coach they need.

obviously the fans have no choice in the matter so whether, as a fan, you like him or not, he's the coach.  just because he's extended doesn't mean his a$$ can't get fired at some point before those 3 years are up.  

but i don't see how this pertains to you since you're not a pens fan, so why do you care?  just another chance to dig on them over the finals?  finals are over.  next topic please.

btw, you mean to tell me that you think Mario and Shero have no idea what they are doing?????  they've only both lived and breathed the sport their whole lives.  one would think they can spot a loser/winner at this point in their careers.  i highly doubt they would've extended him if they didn't feel he could get the job done.

Anyone could have coached that team to the Finals.  It takes a coach who pushes forward without complaining about the past to lead a team to the Cup.

Guess it means Eddie O doesn't know a thing about Hockey either since it was his idea to bring in Therrien. So Mario was a Player and Owner, and was connected with the front office when he was a player because he was friends with the owner, but he guess he doesn't know about hockey. Although Eddie O was a former player, and announcer but doesn't know hockey either(keep in mind he was just starting as a Coach when he suggested them bring in Therrien). I also love how people say the team could coach itself but never explain why they were so TERRIBLE under Eddie O. They never explain how the team got so great with just a couple different players, Malkin and Staal didn't add that much. Oh well people can believe what they want.

I am glad we are bringing him back for another 3 years. It sounds to me like you are just some bitter fan with nothing else to cry about. He did have an answer for the wings it was just a little to late. Plus many of the Pens were star Struck being it the first time for many of them.

it also looks like we a goodplayer slip out from out grasp in Hossa but that doesnt mean the Red Wings will Repeat, we are far from the day when Hockey teams would take 3 or 4 straight cups...

I dont Think Therrian id a Whiner, If I am correct and I know I am mr.babcock was the first to flip out on a missed call in the Stanley cup finals... Not to mention the entire playoffs.

it is believed the Pens will be the team to contend for the Stanley cup next year, at least in the East. If i were you the Rest of the West seems to be catching up to the Redwings... I doubt they will be in the Cup Finals next year.. and then the only person Whinning will be Mr.Hossa, when he is crying his way back to Pittsburgh.

I am sure if Babcock does keep up his performance you will be seeing him caoching again... in the IHL ... Good luck contending over the next few years with all the old guys you have

You know, NIPS, everyone always complains about Sid whining, and, you can look at that either way.  The only member of the Pitt. franchise I noticed whining like a baby when they lost, and laughing and making jokes when they won, was Therrien.  I would absolutely HATE my organization if they decided to hire HIM as my team's head coach, and extend his contract.  Do you remember when they won game 3, and Therrien was at the post game press conference, chuckling and laughing it up?  It made me sick, because after game 4, he was right back at the same spot, moping around and staring at the table in front of him. Remember the way Babs handled the same situations?  He had the same attitude whether they won or lost.  Ha!  My apologies go out to the true Pens fans that have to deal with this idiot for another 3 years.
